The Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (IPACE) was created by the Political 科学 Department in 2012. IPACE is designed to facilitate the study of politics and public policy in the 硅谷 and the civic engagement of students through internships, service learning, and sponsorship of research talks led by 菠菜网lol正规平台 faculty and members of the broader community. IPACE is a place where faculty research, teaching, and student learning intersect. The institute helps ensure that San Jose State University remains at the forefront in educating leaders at all levels of government, with a special focus on the 硅谷 and the Bay Area.
