Meet the Interim VPRI
Welcome to San José State University!
I am Marc d’Alarcao, the newly appointed 菠菜网lol正规平台 Interim Vice President for Research and Innovation (VPRI) and the Interim President of the Board of Directors of the 菠菜网lol正规平台 Research Foundation. I also currently serve as the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies.
In my VPRI role, I lead the planning, administration, and evaluation of university research facilities, centers, institutes, and support services, as well as the allocation of funding for research and innovation programs and activities. The R&I team is responsible for identifying, securing, and maintaining extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, businesses, and industry, as well as for developing public-private partnerships that foster innovation and grant collaborations.
As Interim VPRI, I lead the existing vision to build and strengthen the 菠菜网lol正规平台 administrative infrastructure necessary to support our growing faculty-led research programs to provide the needed experiential learning to all 菠菜网lol正规平台 students. With increased resources, focused training, and efficient support services for our researchers, 菠菜网lol正规平台 will grow its public impact through research, scholarship, and creative activities.
