This web page provides information about class grading and Grade Point Average (平均绩点) as it relates to graduate programs in the 计算机工程 department. 

类 can be 年级d as Credit (CR)/No Credit (NCR) or Graded. 学分/无学分课程 provide credit (or units) but do not contribute to 平均绩点 calculations. 如果你收到 a No Credit (NCR) 年级 you will not receive units for the class. 

In some rare cases (such as CMPE 294 年级d prior to Fall 2015, see note at the end of this page), the 年级 scheme is ABC/NCR. 如果你 pass the class, you receive a letter 年级 and the units for the class. 如果你 fail the class, you do not receive units and the class 年级 不 contribute to your 平均绩点.

平均绩点 calculations are derived from 年级d classes (those where you receive a letter 字母等级). As a graduate student, a letter 年级 of 'C' or better is a passing 年级. A letter 年级 of 'C-' or lower for any class numbered 200 or higher is a failing 年级. You will receive no units or credit for a class where you receive a failing 年级. This is true for core, specialization, elective, and project/thesis classes. 

The are three 平均绩点 calculations that are important for MS Software 工程 students:

  • 学期平均绩点 is the 平均绩点 calculation for all Graded classes you have taken in a specific semester.
  • 累积绩点(C平均绩点) is the 平均绩点 calculation for all 年级d classes you have taken at 菠菜网lol正规平台. 的学期 and Cumulative 平均绩点, the classes include all of those beginning with the CMPE prefix, any classes taken in other departments, any undergraduate classes, the 年级 for each class you repeat, and includes any class that you have taken that meets the 毕业 Writing and Assessment Requirement (such as CMPE 294 or ENGR 200W). It 不 include any classes that are 年级d as Credit (CR)/No Credit (NCR), any class where you received a No Credit (NCR) 年级 (such as CMPE 294 taken before Fall 2015), or the 年级s for classes that you have transferred from other universities.
  • 参选的绩点 is the 平均绩点 calculation for the 33 units (or 30 units if you were admitted prior to Fall 2020) that you declare on your Petition for Advancement to Graduate Candidacy (亦称候选表格). 看到 打呵欠的形式).
